FETAC Family Learning Modules ‹ Back to Courses
During the summer of 2006, The Clare Family Learning Project was given approval for two locally developed Family Learning FETAC Modules at Level 3: Learning Skills and Home Study Skills.
In September, six tutors set out to deliver the Learning Skills module with various groups around the county. It became clear in a short space of time, that the retention of new participants into Family Learning using FETAC modules was not working and three of the groups finished. The other three groups had been already working together in other agencies or had attended other Family Learning programmes in the previous few months. The FETAC module is useful as a way of progressing people onto an accredited module. These modules support future work in Childcare or working with Homework or Afterschool Clubs and for people working as Classroom assistants. The modules can be used as two of the five choices in a FETAC full certificate at FETAC Level 3.
See the Rationale and Permission information to use Locally Developed Modules.
