Family Learning Tutor Training October 2009


Dear Manager/ Family Learning tutor,

The Clare Family Learning Project will be offering a family learning training workshop over three days for facilitators on the following dates in Ennis:

Tuesday 13th October 9.30 - 4:30

Wednesday 14th October 9:00 - 4:30

Thursday 15th October 9.00 - 4.30

The training cost will be €300 euro per participant. We can invoice your organization for this.

Some oversea visitors will be attending as part of an EU Grundtvig funded training. They will stay for two extra days to see family learning in action and experience some Irish culture.

The 3 day training for Irish tutors will cover the Family Learning Resource Guide and other courses that have been developed in response to the diverse needs of our community for example:
- Two locally developed FETAC level 3 family learning modules
- English to support parents of primary school children
- Storybags
- Settling into second level
- Dads and children
- Family stories in a box etc.

A Family Learning Pack will be provided for the duration of the training and is available for purchase at the end of the training for €110. Pack includes:
- 1 Facilitators Resource Guide
- 1 set of booklets
- 1 Photopack 50 photos
- 2 Posters

Please e-mail me your confirmation details by 19th June. Temple Gate Hotel in town centre has a special deal €59 for room only or €69 for Bed and full Irish breakfast per night for a single room. Information on directions and venue will be sent out in the early autumn.
